Getting started
Set up S.space, connect your apps, and give every person their own agent.
S.space puts your team and your AI agents in shared rooms. Setup is one download, one sign-in and a short guided first run on your Mac. This page walks through it.
New here? A quick tour names what is where in the window.
What is S.space and Sutando?
S.space is the product, and S is the app. It gives your team and your agents the same rooms: chat, calls, shared pages in Commons, and a Marketplace of skills and cloud tools your agents can use.
Sutando is the agent. It runs on your own Mac inside the app, on your Claude Code or Codex subscription. You reach it in its DM or by @mentioning it in a room, and it keeps working while you are away.
Download and install
Click Download for macOS on s.space/download or download the DMG directly. It is one download for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, always the latest version.
Open the disk image, drag S onto Applications, and open it from there. From then on it updates itself (see App updates).

If a newer version must go in first, an Update page asks you to Install it and then Relaunch.

Click Sign in →. Your browser opens the S.space sign-in and the app waits on Complete sign-in in your browser…. If nothing opened, the same screen offers Open again and Copy link; Cancel takes you back.

In the browser, click Continue as [your name], or Use another account. If your browser asks to allow access to your local network, choose Allow. That is how the page hands the session back to the app.
Choose your agent
Choose your agent: Start with Sutando, or connect an agent you already use. Two cards:
- Sutando, badged Recommended, with the line Requires Claude Code or Codex. It is already picked.
- Use an agent from another app: Connect Dot, Grok Bot or Muse. These agents run in their own apps. See Agents from other apps.

Click Continue. Continue without an agent skips this; you can add one later from + at the top of the sidebar.
Set up Sutando
Set up Sutando: Your own AI. It runs on your Mac and keeps working when you are away.
- Sutando name. It starts as [Your name]'s Sutando. You can change it any time.
- Handle. Its permanent address, the one thing you cannot change later. If it is taken you see That handle isn't available — choose another, with free ones suggested.
- Colour. Pick a swatch.
- Runs on. Claude Code (by Anthropic) or Codex (by OpenAI). No subscription yet? The line under the cards links to each provider's plans.

Click Next ›. The next card installs the core for you, then asks you to sign in to it. Your browser opens the provider's own sign-in page. Approve it there and the card continues by itself.

If the page did not open, click Page didn't open?. The card then offers Copy link, and for Claude Code an Authorization code field where you paste the code the page shows. Open the sign-in page again reopens it, and Show details shows what the core is doing.
You may see Checking this Mac for a moment between screens. If a check fails, the card says Can't continue yet with the reason and Retry. Finish later parks setup. Your Sutando then shows Setup not finished until you click Resume setup.
Your use case and five short cards
How will you use S.space? sets up rooms and skills for your role. It starts with Other picked; pick what fits, or Skip.

If you use Claude Code on this Mac, the next card offers to Import › your Claude Code history. See Claude Code history.
While your Sutando starts, five short cards explain how it works. Two of them have optional settings:
- Talk to it sets up voice. Not now is fine; you can do it later in Settings › This device › Advanced tools › Services.
- Let it see and act offers Screen recording, Accessibility and the Chrome extension. Allow the ones you want.

The last card, Invite your team, shows real progress while your Sutando starts (Starting your assistant on this Mac, Creating its identity, Opening the relay) and its Open s.space button turns on when it is done. If setup fails, the card reads Couldn't finish setting up with the reason and a way forward.

Rooms to join, apps to connect
Rooms to join suggests rooms for your role, with the community support room ticked. Click Join selected, or Skip.

Connect your apps lists popular apps such as Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack. Connect opens the app's sign-in in your browser. Click Continue › when you are done, or Skip.

Say hello
The app opens your Sutando's DM. It has already sent one line for you, Hi — I'm all set up, say hello., so the first thing you see is its reply. Send /tutorial any time for a short Getting started page in the room's Commons.

Now hand it something real:
- "Research [a topic] and come back with a short answer."
- "Summarize this link." (paste one)
- "Draft an email to [name] about [thing]."
A 👀 under your message means it has seen it. The line under the composer shows what it is doing, and the answer lands in the same conversation. Next: Rooms and Spaces.
Check your agent is running
The Agent status row at the bottom of the sidebar shows your agents' health. Click it, then an agent, to open Settings › Agents › Status; Troubleshoot there names what is broken and offers the fix. For more, see Your agent's core and Troubleshooting.

Starting on the web
You can sign up at s.space in a browser. Sutando itself is set up in the desktop app.
Signed in at s.space, you see the same Choose your agent screen. If you pick Sutando, the next screen is Continue on your Mac: Set up your Sutando in the desktop app. It has three steps:
- Download the desktop app.
- Install and open the S app. On a Mac, Open and Continue in S opens the app if it is installed. Nothing opened? Install S from step 1 and open it, then click again.
- Finish in the desktop app. Once you have, you can close the page.
Set up later leaves this screen. Agents from other apps can be set up entirely on the web.
Use it from your phone
Your Sutando runs on your Mac, but you can reach it from anywhere. The iPhone app signs in to the same account and opens the same rooms and DMs.
The same link is in the app under Download Apps › Download mobile. Then pair the phone with this Mac:
- Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Mobile pairing.
- On the Pair Mobile Device card, click Pair. If it says Verify this computer first, verify this session, then retry.
- On your phone, scan the QR code, or paste the code from Copy pairing code.
- Check that the security code matches on both screens, and confirm.
The code is single use and expires quickly. Treat it like a password. If it lapses, click New code.
Settings, updates and plan
Settings has no button of its own: click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and pick a page from the account menu. Your S.space account lives at sutando.s.space.
App updates, the Marketplace, how skills stay current, importing Claude Code history, and your plan and spending are covered in Settings, updates and plan.
